We can carry out offshore projects from initial consultation and planning phases, on to construction phase through to operations and maintenance, such as export cable works.

What do our offshore clients need?
- Specialist training
The offshore environment requires specialist training and accreditation and PMC Offshore operatives are CISRS and HUET trained.

In addition to ISO accreditations, the offshore sector also require specific accreditations to work in the oil, gas and wind sector.
PMC operatives are qualified in:
- GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certified
- BOSIET certified
- OPITO (Oil & Gas) trained
- HEUT (Helicopter Underwater Escape) trained
- CISRS trained
- Projects around the UK and Europe
Our Offshore Division can handle projects throughout the UK coast and seas plus Northern Europe. We hold VCA certification to work in Belgium and Holland.
Services for the wind industry
A number of our offshore services are of particular use to the wind industry.
Hung scaffolds around the J-tubes allow a much bigger pull when pulling in array and export cables; reducing the time taken and releasing the cable laying vessel much sooner. This is adventatgeous when the height between cable deck and main deck bulk heads are an issue.
Other services include:
- Build of quadrants and support scaffolds for the array and export cables.
- Scaffold and lifting frames for splicing, cable jointing and containment works.
- Encapsulation for painting, blasting and welding
- Ongoing operations and maintenance support and specialist design scaffolds for works needed on substations or TPs
- Offshore painting and blasting, rope access technicians and blade repair technicians
